The dream that started it all
I've loved baking for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always in the kitchen helping my parents bake—and by "helping," I was usually insisting on doing as much as I possibly could. From an early age, I knew baking wasn't just a hobby; it was what I wanted to do.
By the time I was around 12 years old, I had already decided where I wanted to go to school and that one day I'd own my own bakery. That dream led me to SAIT, where I earned my diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts and learned the skills to turn my passion into a career.
While I was at SAIT, my mom had a dream that I owned a bakery food truck, travelling around Southern Alberta serving fresh donuts and other baked treats to small towns. At the time, it seemed like a fun story. But the idea just kind of stuck with both of us.
Fast forward, and here I am—with a diploma in hand, years of baking experience, and a business that all started with my mom's dream. Wandering Fox Baking is more than a bakery on wheels; it's the combination of a childhood passion, a mother's imagination, and a belief that great baking is worth travelling for.
I can't wait to share that dream—and plenty of fresh baking—with every stop along the way.
Why a bakery on wheels?
Wandering Fox Baking isn't your typical bakery—we bring the bakery to you.
Instead of waiting for you to make the trip, we travel throughout Southern Alberta, visiting communities like Nanton, Claresholm, Granum, Fort Macleod, High River, and many more. Whether you're stopping by for your morning coffee and donut, picking up fresh bread for dinner, or treating yourself to something sweet, we're excited to become part of your community.
Our goal is simple: make fresh, handcrafted baking accessible to the small towns that don't always have a local bakery nearby. Every stop is an opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and share the joy that comes from fresh baking made with care.
After all, the best things in life are worth the trip—even better when they roll right into town.
